Epic Igloos - November 12th, 2015

Hello penguins! Welcome back to another edition of Epic Igloos! Today we have some really cool igloos, and some aren't available anymore! So let's get started, shall we?

This is a cafe made by my pal Politzania. As you can see, it has a nice red cityscape in the background, but in the foreground, there's the restaurant! This restaurant has a kitchen with an oven, a pizza oven, a barrel of ream soda, a coffee machine, a fridge, a blender, and a bar. Most diners have this. There is also some corner booths that have various items such as nachos, candy, and a book on the table. There is also some regular booths in the middle with nachos and tea on the tables. The door is made out of a pantry, which looks somewhat like a real door with the fridges in the way. The puffle tubes (I think that's what he used) work very well as windows. There is also a dirt path outside, leading to the door. There is also some TVs on the wall for anyone who may want to watch while they wait for their food. The plants outside look really nice as well. I can't go much longer without talking about the karaoke part of this igloo. It has a karaoke stage towards the middle, with a mop, recycling bin, and 2 jukeboxes where penguins can sing.

This is a Christmas Village made by Teddythany. It has lots of shops with cool things in the windows, as well as a really cool cobblestone path made out of Stone Benches. There also appears to be a few Christmas trees behind the buildings. The fences separate the snow from the path. In the snow section, there are a few Christmas trees, as well as a large one made out of smaller ones. A ton of presents also sit under the tree. Over twoards the smaller Christmas trees, there are tables with nachos and dip on them. There are candy canes spread throughout the whole thing.
This is a Poor Village created by my friend Neon Sports. It features a river, a little fire pit to tell stories, a pond, a few village houses, gardens, a potion stand, a library, a fountain, a restaurant, a river, a bench, some boats to sail around in, a wishing well, tiki torches, and finally, a stone path going through the town. This igloo is nice and simple. I wish it could have just a few more things, but it's still very nice for things such as roleplaying and adventuring.

I hope you enjoyed today's edition of Epic Igloos! Which one was your favorite? Tell us in the comments of this post or on Twitter by tweeting us @CPSecretsofCP! Goodbye!

Blast to the Past - Extreme Paint Festival

Hello penguins! If you haven't logged into Club Penguin since Monday, you might have missed the Extreme Paint Festival at the Dock. At the Extreme Paint Festival, there is a blank canvas. If you feel like throwing a snowball at the canvas, the snowball turns into a balloon filled with paint. If you throw enough snowballs, it will make a cool picture.
However, this is not the first occurence of this.

The first time we got to make a painting with snowballs was at the April Fools Party 2008. If you went to the Lighthouse or Beacon, every snowball would turn into a paint balloon and you could color the room with paint.
The second time, we could throw paint balloons at the canvas inside the Box Store, a party room accessible from the Snow Forts. This room was available during the April Fools Party 2009.
Paint balloons also added colors to the interior and exterior of the Dojo for this party!
At the April Fools Party 2010, this feature was available again, but this time at the Dock. If you threw balloons at the canvas, you could create a picture. Once you created a picture, you could collect the Red Propellor Cap.
The same feature returned for the April Fools Day Party 2011, replacing the Red Propellor Cap with the Purple Propellor Cap.
The last occurence before the Extreme Paint Festival was in Club Penguin: Game Day! At the Dock. To play, you must first complete all the mini-games at the Dock for your team, whichever one that may be. You can then throw paintballs at the Game Day sign; and if you color the whole sign with the color of your team, you successfully conquer the Dock.
And now we're up to now, at the Extreme Paint Festival. As you can see from the picture above, this feature is available right now. If you throw snowballs, you can create an assortment of 4 different pictures; those being, the Rainbow Puffle, Sled Racing, Red Puffle, and Coffee Shop.

Goodbye!

PS: I hope you enjoyed reading this article! This took a lot of research, so it would be great if you would share this post to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, wherever. Thanks to the Club Penguin Wiki for the images and information.

Epic Igloos Contest

Hey guys, this is a little call out to my pal, Politzania. He's been featured on this site a few times for his wonderful igloos, and one day I found him online. It turns out he's a fan of Club Penguin Secrets.

Anyway, Politzania, read the next paragraph.

Halloween Party 2015 Review

Hello penguins! Today I will review the latest Halloween Party! This party will be judged in categories such as art, roleplaying functionability, story, and stuff like that.

Let's start with the art.
The art is very wonderful at this party, to say the least. Lots of decorations were reused from previous years, but there was also lots of new stuff. Some rooms also got slight updates like the Beach got the Robomaker3K and the Plaza moved the manhole cover for the 3rd time in a row. Some rooms were also decorated when they haven't been before. The Puffle Park was decorated for the first time at this party. The Beacon was decorated again after being left undecorated since 2012. The Arcade decorations also return from the 2012 Halloween Party.
There is a small list of things that annoy me, though. In the Lighthouse, by the door, the Jack-O-Lantern's shadow covers up the doormat. The pumpkins at the pizza parlor were layered wrong in the SWF's and ended up going behind the counter instead of on top of it. I also feel that the SoundScreen in the Nightclub could have been placed in a better place. This party's decorations were good. They get a 8.3 out of 10.

Next we have music.
The music was really nice, with some really old tracks returning and a few new tracks appearing at the Town Center, Plaza, and Pizza Parlor. I think the old tracks are good, especially the one at the Snow Forts. I think the new tracks are great too, but it does get annoying very fast due to how repetitive it is. The music at this party gets a 7.6 out of 10.

Now we have roleplaying.
This party had lots to do with roleplaying, mainly in the Lighthouse, Snow Forts, Forest, and Cove. In the Lighthouse you could watch a movie or sell food and drinks at the concession stand. At the Snow Forts you could Trick-or-Treat or hand out candy. It appears everyone liked howling like werewolves at the Forest, and me and my friends had fun telling spooky stories around the campfire at the Cove. At the cove you can also fish for squid, which is also a bonus.
This party also released a brand new transformation, robots. Many penguins had fun invading the Lighthouse as robots, just as I did on a few occasions.

The robots were very fun and I hope they return again eventually. The roleplaying category rightfully earned itself a 9.6 out of 10.

Next up we have functionability. This year's party also had lots of functionability. The Iceberg, once again, was turned into a Jack-o-Lantern if you used your jackhammer in the correct places. (full credit for the following video to TheCPTour, you can visit them on Youtube by clicking here or visiting bit.ly/thecptour online.)

At the Dock, you could also adopt Ghost Puffles. I got one named Avira (meaning Spirit in Aramaic) last year, but I think it's a good idea to release it for everyone who didn't get one last year. (The following video was made by CM Dude. Check him out on Twitter at twitter.com/realcmdude.
Possibly my favorite feature from this year's Halloween Party is the set of tables in the arcade. In case you didn't notice, the tables are made out of Tube Transports. (These also appeared in the Arcade during the Puffle Party 2011 and 2012.) If you wear food aprons such as the Baker's Apron, Coffee Apron, or Popcorn Server's outfit, you can dance by one of the tables and food will come out.

This is wonderful. The functionality for this party gets a 10 out of 10. I wouldn't change a thing in that department.

Now we have story.
This story was great. On October 1st, the 10th Anniversary Party started, which included guide robots resembling the mascots in the major rooms, telling visitors about the decorations for that party. During the last week of the Anniversary, the robots started malfunctioning. The dialogue was messed up. When the Halloween Party started, the robots started going crazy, scaring penguins and messing stuff up. Every day for about 9 days, we had to find something that scares the character looking like the robot, scare the robot with that item, and play the pipe game to deactivate the robots. On the last day of the quest, we discover what was messing up the robot's coding; Herbert Percival Bear, Esquire. It turns out that Herbert messed with the robots to scare penguins into hiding, so he could take over the island once again. That is, until he builds a robot that's smarter than him. The robot traps Herbert, so we must defeat the Herbot and capture Herbert and Klutzy. Once we defeat the Herbot, Herbert and Klutzy break out of their cage and run away, leaving speculation for what happens next in the ongoing Herbert plot.
This story is absolutely wonderful. I think it tops the story from the last 2 Halloween parties and beats all the Halloween Parties from 2010 and onwards. The team worked realy hard to make this story really shine, and their hard work paid off. There is a few problems with it. For example, why did we only deactivate one a day instead of all of them on one day? Why didn't Gary fix the robots when he saw they were malfunctioning during the Anniversary?
It is also annoying how the item you are looking for glows bright green. Not helping the entertainment value is the part where it tells you exactly where you need to go. Other than that, this story is pretty good. Story gets a solid 8.5 out of 10.

  FINAL SCORE
So if I add up all of the points and divide by 5 to get the final score.
This party gets, Drumroll please.....
8.8 out of 10! This party is absolutely wonderful, and I can't wait to see what the team releases next year!

So what do you think of the Halloween Party? Tell us in the comments below or on Twitter by tweeting us @CPSecretsofCP on Twitter. What score would you give this party? Goodbye!

The New Club Penguin Secrets

Hey guys! Today is the day that I announce the new Club Penguin Secrets! In case you haven't realized, Club Penguin Secrets has gotten some slight changes over the past 2 months.
